As an attorney and entrepreneur, Pankaj Raval founded PSR Law after realizing that there was huge room for improvement for how legal and business services could be provided. Bridging his love for studying business process with this legal training, Pankaj founded PSR Law to build a 21st century law firm based on three central tenets: (1) exceptional client service; (2) flexible fee options; and (3) high-value legal insight. But his true passion is serving the needs unique of business owners – helping them realize their dreams, preserve their legacy, and sustain their livelihood.
INDUSTRIES + SERVICES
Since launching PSR Law in 2011, Pankaj has worked with a variety of startup, small, and medium sized businesses. Industries served include technology, fashion, entertainment, personal and retail services, Vape (e-cigarette) manufacturers and distributors, and real estate, in addition to non-profit organizations. Pankaj has served businesses in foundational and development matters such as entity and corporate formation, partnership agreements and dissolutions, and trademark, copywriter and intellectual property disputes.
Prior to the launch of PSR Law, Pankaj worked with two Tucson, Arizona based law firms. During his tenure, he handled a variety of business law matters. In particular, Pankaj focused on securities litigation, civil litigation and employment law.
Later, Pankaj began to concentrate his efforts more in the Los Angeles market. He co-founded The Fashion Law Group. This boutique fashion-focused law firm is dedicated to serving Los Angeles’ thriving fashion industry.
In 2005, Pankaj graduated from the University of Arizona with a double major in Economics and Sociology (Honors), and a minor in Business Administration. Following graduation, Pankaj spent a year with Indiacorps, a charitable outreach organization based in India (similar to the Peace Corps). Pankaj then entered the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law, and completed his law degree in 2009, receiving a certificate in international business and trade law.
As a law student, Pankaj was a member of the Student Bar Association, the International Law Society (ILS), Entertainment Law Society, and served as the President of the International Law Society. In addition, he clerked for a law firm, where he gained practical business law experience. Pankaj worked on real estate, employment and intellectual property matters, as well as filing trademarks and creating business entities.
An American of Indian decent, Pankaj was born in Chicago, Illinois. A product of his two identities – American + Indian – Pankaj embraced both America’s abundant opportunity and India’s rich cultural traditions. In fact, it was the teachings of Indian revolutionary, Mahatma Gandhi, India’s greatest advocate for truth and righteousness that inspired Pankaj to dedicate himself to service through a career in law.
One of the most defining periods of Pankaj life was the year he spent in India with Indicorps. While volunteering for the organization, his duties ranged from teaching music to children, many of whom lived in the slum areas, to tutoring Tibetan monks in English to fighting for fisherman’s property rights. Working in marginalized communities with oppressed peoples who struggled to simply exist was a consciousness altering experience. It revealed to Pankaj both the essential necessity of justice for all, and the intractable power of problem solving. These lessons have proved invaluable in Pankaj‘s legal practice, as he strives to achieve fair and creative solutions to the challenging and complex legal issues his clients face.
